The New Hanover County ABC Board announced that $510,000 in grants were awarded for Fiscal Year 2021-22. They are broadening the scope of giving to reach more nonprofits doing innovative and meaningful work in the community around substance abuse education, prevention, treatment or research by developing their own grant program.

We are so excited to be one of the recipients in this year’s New Hanover County ABC Board Grants.  We appreciate their commitment to give back to the community by supporting nonprofits, like Tides, Inc., that are fighting substance abuse and providing treatment and education to those in need.

Because of their generosity, Tides will be able to launch an extensive Restoration & Resilience Training Program for Moms in Recovery.  This program will expand on its current parenting and job skills training and add much needed courses in Life Skills, Budgeting & Finance, Relapse Prevention, Nutrition, Healthy Relationships, Resiliency – Coping with Trauma, and Child & Adult CPR.  Funds are also allocated to help women complete their high school education, peer support certifications, driver’s education courses and other skills that will further their success beyond our program.  Click the button below to watch a short video on this year’s recipients.
