100 Men Who Care is just that...a group of men who care about their community and it's nonprofit organizations. Meeting only once a quarter throughout the year, they nominate charitable organizations in our area and vote for who they will raise funds for that quarter.
Tides, Inc. is a non-profit funded by New Hanover County that treats pregnant women or women who are new mothers and are dependent on opioids. All of its patients are on medically assisted therapies.
A new nonprofit aims to help mothers-to-be who are hooked on opioids, and their babies. Dr. William Johnstone and others spent 18 months planning the nonprofit corporation Tides Inc.
It was 2013 that Dr. William Johnstone came to work as a Professor in the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
