It is with great excitement to announce that Tides-Sandhills was unanimously awarded a generous grant from the Foundation of FirstHealth. This is the second year that the foundation has supported Tides-Sandhills in their mission to bring the successful Tides program to Moore County.
Tides-Sandhills ended February with a full heart from the WAVES OF LUV Diaper Drive Fundraiser. Thank you to the incredible team at Premier Real Estate in Southern Pines, NC for coordinating this event for much needed supplies.
When word got out that Tides-Sandhills needed donations to fill the residential facility, Moore County and surrounding communities came together to help. They provided any and all items they had including dining tables, sofas, bedroom furniture, kitchen items, and more.
Tides, Inc. was approached by several government officials in Moore County, North Carolina asking that the Tides program be brought to their county and the Sandhills region. After much planning, Tides-Sandhills was born.
Tides is grateful to be a recipient for the 2022 grant cycle of the New Hanover County Endowment. Their mission is to improve the health, education, safety, and economic opportunity of every person in our community.
Tides is grateful, once again, to be a grant recipient of the 2022-23 ABC Board Grant Program. In its second year, the ABC Board has graciously extended its support of the Tides Restoration & Resilience Training Program for the women of Tides.
A huge shout out to the Landfall Foundation for their generous support of Tides for these last two years!!! In 2020, Covid-19 really threw us some curveballs with all of the program’s training moving to a virtual platform, but through funding provided by the Landfall Foundation, we were able to offer our women some wonderful online training through InJoy Health Education!

The New Hanover County ABC Board announced that $510,000 in grants were awarded for Fiscal Year 2021-22. They are broadening the scope of giving to reach more nonprofits doing innovative and meaningful work in the community around substance abuse education, prevention, treatment or research by developing their own grant program.
